Default CSF leak repair surgery

Has anyone ever had surgery to repair a CSF leak? I am scheduled to have it on June 26. I have confidence in the surgeon but since this condition is so rare I do not know anyone else who has experienced this exact thing. I started leaking from just the right nostril about 3 months ago and finally was diagnosed with an opening over the sinus in the skull. The surgeon said that there is a 5-7 day stay in hospital, and have to be on my back for that amount of time. Has anyone else had this experience? If so any lasting side effects?
