I am new to this but am so desperate to talk to others who can perhaps give me some insight into FTD or fronto temporal disease....my hubby has it and is in a nursing home due to different medical conditions and his FTD...I just see such a decline and to be quite honest, it is coming all too fast...just wanted to talk...thanks....

I cry when I am not there for him to see it which is the best thing to do honestly in my opinion. My dad was pretty normal at home just 2 years ago and now he can barely walk or talk and has the mentality of a 4 year old. I understand how tough it is to watch from the side at your loved one vanishing before your eyes. I have been understanding the cycle of life and have gotten past the point of worry and fear. There is nothing that can be done to stop it or change what is going on for my Dad. While my Dad's diagnosis is different than your loved one I sure do understand how watching a decline in their health can be absolutely excruciatingly unbearable sometimes. best wishes and i am sorry that I have no specific info about your spoecific request for info on that disease but I understand the other aspects of dealing with it and offer support and a hug at least. |
