Default burning mouth syndrome caused by dental appliances

From January to May of 2009, I wore a day and night dental appliances for TMJ. And in mid-June I started to suffer from burning mouth syndrome -- tingling tongue, lips, roof of mouth, along with oral dryness. Is it possible the orthotics caused this?

Hi dbrow,

What were you using to clean the dental appliance? In addition to cleaning it, were you soaking it in anything? Are you rinsing your mouth with anything?
