Unhappy I might need dentures

My name is Rosemary and I am new member to this board.I am 23 years old and I have several rotten teeth in the bottom of my mouth.I am afraid to tell my mother about this due to the fact that I have no job or insurance of any kind.I am afraid that I will die if these teeth do not get treated.I am scared that she will yell at me.I've been depressed for days and I have been crying every night when I am alone in bed. These teeth have silver fillings.

Hi Rosemary,

I'm sorry you are so distressed over this....... and it can be very scary especially if your mother yells at you! I hate when mothers do that (

However, before you convince yourself that you need dentures, be brave and tell your mom you have some teeth that are bothering you. It is better to find out the severity of the problem now than to ignore it out of fear of her or the dentist because it's just going to get worse. Right??

Can she help you out financially with the dental bills? Are you looking for a job for yourself or are you in school?

Bryanna

I am looking for a job right now and I am trying to get my GED.I am afraid of what she is gonna say about my teeth.Should I write a letter and leave it in her room?I am 23 years old and these teeth will have to be pulled out cause they are making my life hell right now.

Hi Rosemary,

I would hope that you could speak directly to your mom rather than leave her a note so that an appointment could be made for you at the dentist asap. Do you think she will be that angry with you???

I am scared to tell her cause I do not want her to yell at me.I really can't take this no more cause this is my health and it is making me sad and depressed to where I cry in bed every single night.

Hi Caramen Chanel,

I think it's wise to tell your mom so she can help you. The yelling part is never a good thing but you need to get help and if not from her then someone else. Do you have another relative or friend that could help you?
