Default roots left in gum

hi my daughter aged 13 had a lower back tooth removed approx 18 months ago and now in pain as the root was left in should the root have been removed. thanks anyone can help.

Hi dsenad4,

Yes, most definitely the roots should have been removed during the extraction. She may have an infection there or the roots may be trying to surface. It is wise to get her in to see a dentist asap.
