Smile Hi Bryanna. (Xylitol,and Probiotics)

I've been taking a probiotic recently, and stopped taking Xylitol because I thought that it might kill the healthy bacteria in my gut.

I've done a little research,but I can't find the answer.

Is it ok to take Xylitol, and Probiotics? Brokenfriend

Hi Brokenfriend,

I don't know of any reason not to take them both as they do different things as far as the bacteria in your body and your mouth is concerned.

To rule out a conflict.... just take them at least one hour apart.

Also, it is best to use an xylitol that is derived from the birch tree rather than from corn. The reason being is that the corn is most likely genetically modified and our digestive system has a hard time metabolizing gmo sources of food. That could be one reason why so many people who use xylitol from corn have stomach upset when they use a tad too much of it.

Hope this info helps!
Bryanna
