Hi!

I just wanted to check in and let everyone know how I am doing since it has been a while and for anyone else who is looking for advice.

So it has been 6 months since my extraction and implant placement. My perio said everything healed really well and she released me in June to my prosthodontist and we got to work on the crown. He gave me a temp crown that I have been wearing for while. During this time he used that crown to shape my gums so that the perm crown would fit better, so my time has taken a little longer to get my perm crown. I should get it in the next 3 weeks!

Overall my teeth have been feeling really good. My TMJ hasn't been acting up either. I think the reason why is because I quit wearing my night guard, which I know is the opposite of what they tell you, but for me it was an inhibitor causing me to clench more. Like when a horse has a bit in their mouth. I used to wake myself up clenching at night but not anymore. My teeth just seem to be in a really good place right now. No pain at all. It has taken me 5 years to get to this point, but I made it!

Good luck to everyone!
