I,ve got one of those cave man lower jaws with bony protrusions on the inside what do dentists call that ? I heard it hard to get fitted for lower dent. Thanks.

Hi dgm,

Those bony protrusions on the inside of the lower jaw are called mandibular tori. Believe it or not.... people of all shapes and sizes can have them too ;-)

Yes, the tori do complicate wearing a denture. Has your dentist talked to you about removing the tori?
