Hello
Yesterday I went to the dentist and was faced with two options. One was to get a root canal treated to save the tooth or second choice to get tooth pulled. I decided on the quick cheap resolved option and that was to get it pulled. The tooth was pulled but part of my root was broken off and pushed into my sinus.

I am a little worried about complications down the track, could someone give me advise? Is it ok to leave and hope for the bests what are the risks involved?

Many Thanks
Jeanny

Jeanny,

I am in the dental profession and can answer your question...

It is rarely okay to leave a piece of the tooth in your sinus cavity and usually best to have it removed before an infection develops. You should consult with an oral surgeon to see how he would go about removing it. Don't wait until you have a problem.
