Default jawbone problem?

hi Bryanna or anyone,

hi doctor,

hi im 39 years old, had tongue cancer surgery in july 2008 and neck dissection of lymph nodes also. everything is fine but when i had the surgeries my lower right lip doesnt move freely. i do still have numbness sensation on the right side of face and lower right chin area. I can smile evenly closed but when i smile with an open mouth my lower right lip cant move down. Sometimes i slurr in speech when talking quickly. Some days i feel like the nerve is better and some days its not. But its been 3 years now. My guess is that its the mandibular nerve in lower right side. My socialness is somewhat dampened by this surgery because of the way italk and smile. I would like to know if anyone in your staff has done nerve grafting or if there is any alternatives that i should try to get more nerve into my lower right lip and talk more freely.

On the other hand, i did have all my molars on the right side pulled out except wisdom. One was a very bad root canal and the other was giving me problems so the dentist pulled both of them but not at the same time. I have been taking antibiotics onn and off for 3 years. im begginning to think maybe its a jaw bone infection or gum infection where i had my neck dissection and the infection causes my nerve to be more sensitive and tougher for me to talk. Today was a tough day so i took an antibiotic. Tryng to explain this problem to any doctor is tough. ive had ct scan on neck and head and both were negative. Should i see a dentist pathologist or what should i do? i do believe the problem lies inside my gums and dentists nor doctors can see it from the outside of my gum line.

sorry its alot of words but just trying to figure out my problem
thanks

jerry
