Default Infection or something else

I had my wisdom teeth removed but was not told if they were infected or not.
But they had started to rot.
But even before I had the out I developed some odd lumps on my neck, dentist said infection, doctors said swollen glands.
The lumps are on the side as well as the front, To be honest I am finding it hard to tell what is normal and what isn't!
Also I have little hard lump in my ear pop up, doctor said it was a cyst or something.
I am really worried I have infection in my neck, I have had blood work which came back normal and i've not had a fever.
But what sort of tests should I ask my doctor for to figure out what is wrong?
I am thinking a neck x-ray to start off with?
