Default Amalgam fillings.

Hi.

I've had two large mercury fillings in my teeth for over 50 years. I ran across reference to mercury poisoning in a couple holistic medicine books and resources. When I read a list of symptoms, it described my personal bizarre 50 year health history.

Upon further investigation, I became more convinced that mercury amalgam poisoning is a sad shadow over my health and a sore threat to my future health.

I am seeking others interested in the mercury amalgam controversy, particularly others with personal experience in the matter dealing with dentists, protocols, and detoxification programs.

A good description of the mercury amalgam controversy is in wikipedia. It can be found by searching “dental amalgam controversy”.

Love to chat with anyone with personal experience or input about this controversy.

Hope to hear from some of you.

Hi rrbhc,

I am a dental assistant for 30+ yrs and I am in full agreement with you about the toxicity of mercury fillings.

There is a specific protocol that should be followed when a dentist removes these fillings to help eliminate most of the vapors, etc. during the removal. I often refer patients to a website called IAOMT.org to help search for a dentist who follows this protocol. The IAOMT is a world wide organization of dentists, doctors and other health oriented practitioners who understand the toxicities of dentistry. Have you heard of them?
