To be Stitched or not to be....that is the questiin
I went to the dentist today and had a lower right side molar#30 extracted and the dentist does not do stitching and I wanted to know is this common? I have had 3 upper molars removed and was stitched all 3 times. I'm scared this deep black wide hole in my mouth is gaping and I am terrified of dry socket but I am careful to keep my mouth clean from brushing all teeth careful not to touch the extraction site. I do the salt water and tea bag to assist in healing too. I was given Clindamycin(antibiotic), Tylenol 3 with codeine, and an antibacterial mouthwash called Chlorhex Glu and I follow the directions to a tee. I tell you I have some strong teeth my poor dentist had to work real hard to remove it it wouldn't budge easily and I am feeling the after affect gums around the extraction site super sore and burn when I clean it! Ouchie, and the tears began to stream down my face! I can take any other pain but head pain of any kind. So the question is no stitching was okay besides I don't see what she could gave stitched and how will this hole close?
