Default severe ear pain

Hi Bryanna,

Sadly, I'm stuck in limbo and not sure where to go. I am in severe pain (all following dental work...as discussed here recently).

I had the oral surgeon thoroughly check out tooth number 30 and he says it is fine, although as soon as I feel better, he thinks I should have it re-crowned (it was damaged when 31 was removed).

I've had on and off mild ear pain for awhile now. AFter the extraction, it got a little worse, but 1/2 of a percocet would take care of it for many hours.

After the removal of the graft (now 5 or 6 days), this ear pain has gotten out of hand. I have bad boring/pressure type ear pain that seems to be in the center of my ear and a slight pain partially down my jaw. I now have to take a full percocet to attempt to stop the pain, but it doesn't really work. I'm always in a lot of pain (very bad ear pain) at this time.

I saw the oral surgeon to remove the stiches from the graft removal yesterday, but he said there was some food in there and (I forgot the other reason), so he cleaned it out and wanted to wait about another week to take out the stiches.

We talked about the trigeminal nerve. The lowest nerve was near where the work was done (many times ) near 31 (thre removed tooth).

He said eventually I might have to go to a neurologist.

Does this sound like a TN situation or muscle pain? MIght anything intervene at all? Any other experts that I might go to see for assistance? Any thoughts at all...as I think these are not typical symptoms of TN (but very similar).

Thank you again.
