To describe the pain, it is like a very bad soreness at my gums. It gets worse in the evenings and with stress. When I wake up in the morning it is not there, but soon starts up within a couple of hours. It gets to be very miserable by the evening time. From what I have read, maybe this is TN2. I go to my Dr. tomorrow. I hope that he can just treat me, because I have no insurance to be going to a neurologist.
Hello,
I have gone thru the same thing with the same crackling feeling in the gums on tooth 4. I have been going thru this for a year now. I have had tooth 3 and tooth 4 pulled. What I have found out is it is calle atypical odontalgia.
Currently I have taken neurontin, but this did not help. I am weaning off slowly. My doctor just started me on Nortriptlyine which Is a tricyclics antidepressant and has been known to help
I am wondering how u are now and what treatment met have helped u? Your reply would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
