Default Bone fragment?

I'm hoping you'll oblige me again....

It's been slightly over 2 months since my extraction/implants placement. I have another bone piece working it's way out. Is that normal? It's not infected or anything, just a tiny bit irritated at the spot it's coming out. It's the 3rd piece that has come out. I know I'm probably being paranoid...any wisdom you have is appreciated!

Hi socasusie,

It is typical for slivers of bone that were left in the socket during the surgery to make there way out. It is best that they do make there way out and not stay in there. I have had patients who've had this happen years after the extraction!! Everyone is different. If the area becomes irritated the the dentist needs to remove it.

Thank you!!! I'll stop being paranoid and relax then. It actually came all the way out last night. I'm always worried I've broken something, lol!
