Hi Bryanna...
It's me again. I posted this before but can't find a reply so am reposting. I apologise if you did reply. I have had my lower root canaled tooth extracted(3rd from the back). Prior to extraction it had a lump in the gum. The dentist said that it would go in a few weeks. It has been 3 weeks and the lump is still there. The socket of the extraction is healing but not closed. I have no pain from the lump but I am concerned it is there. My dentist says we should wait another 2 weeks and see what happens. I don't know. What do you think.? I appreciate your help. |

Hi malawi,
I cannot tell you if it's normal or not as I cannot see it. But it wouldn't be unusual for that lump to take several weeks to go away. Has it reduced in size? Is there any drainage coming from it? Is the socket getting smaller as it heals? Bryanna Quote:
