Hi Jae,

Well I think you are asking two separate questions...

<<<This may seem like a silly question but can medication get "stuck" in between your jaw and cheek? When I took Advil last night it went down fine but my medication didn't and that's when I noticed the sharp pain in my jaw.>>>>

WAS THERE EVIDENCE THAT YOUR MEDICATION HAD DISSOLVED IN BETWEEN YOUR JAW AND YOUR CHEEK?
IF MEDICATION IS NOT SWALLOWED THEN YES, IT CAN DISSOLVE WHEREVER IT GETS STUCK.
WAS YOUR MEDICATION IN PILL FORM? DO YOU THINK IT GOT STUCK INSIDE OF THE EXTRACTION SITE? THAT WOULD CAUSE PAIN IN THE JAW.

<<<Is it normal for your jaw to hurt when taking medication if you accidentally open your mouth to wide after a wisdom tooth extraction?>>>

IT IS NORMAL FOR THE JAW TO FEEL STIFF OR HURT WHEN YOU OPEN TOO WIDELY AFTER A WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION.

<<< It'd now swollen and hurts to touch. >>>

DO YOU THINK THE MEDICATION DISSOLVED INSIDE OF THE EXTRACTION SITE? IF SO, THEN IT COULD HAVE DISTURBED THE CLOT. IF YOU ARE NOT BETTER BY THE MORNING THEN CALL THE DENTIST AND GO IN TO SEE HER.

It didn't last long but it really really hurt (it didn't last long just for a couple seconds. Thanks!

Ps. Bryanna you have been a great help through all this
