pennye,

It is common for other teeth to ache a bit after a tooth is removed as you make me favoring that achey side when chewing.

Is that lower tooth root canaled or does it have a large filling or crown on it?

HI again, yes its a lower tooth large filling, I havent eaten on my lright side of my mouth at all for about 7 weeks, even after this latest extraction I am scared to even try that side not even so much as a piece of bread has not touched that side. My extraction is doing awsome, its only been 6 days and the hole is almost closed, but the tooth that came out the cracked tooth, the nerves are still hurting the bone the teeth go in is that the jaw bone? I am beginning to think something is serious with the bone, it was that same pain before the bad tooth got pulled its a bone ache on the back teeth. I thought that would calm down or go away with the broken tooth gone, does it take a while for the nerves to realize the tooth is gone if that tooth was causing the ache? I just dont want to lose anymore teeth 2 in 7 months is enough for me, the tooth that is giving me a little shot of pain also I did floss the tooth the next day the pain started, when I flossed it, 2nd to the last molar it gushed blood a puddle on top of the tooth, I do not floss it I can hardlly get floss in it and play hell getting the floss out of it. Only did this pain happen after I flossed it,

pennye,

You have to try to floss that tooth. The blood means bacteria and plaque are building up. That alone can cause a tooth to hurt because the gum becomes inflamed deep in the pocket.

Try some waxed or ribbon floss. If you have a hard time pulling up and out then just slide it through. Buy some floss picks and try them. The area will bleed when you do this because it is irritated. Once the bacteria is removed the gum will calm down and it will stop bleeding. Rinse with warm salt water after you floss.

If you are still unable to floss there... then see the dentist and let him adjust that filling so you have better access to floss. This can lead to an abscess so it is imperative to find a way to clean it.

If other extraction site is still hurting then see the dentist to evaluate it.
