Default after dentures, my lips are crooked....

i have had full uppers and partial lowers for almost three weeks....19 teeth were extracted at the same time. I looked in the mirror last night and saw that my lips weren't centered. my lower lip was off a bit to the right. also my upper lip wasn't full the way it usually is. I plan to call the dentist on Monday. I am very worried.
I wonder if it is going to be permanent and worse as time goes on.

Try to get the dentist to fix as much as you can because your jaw will change shape to fit the denture and it will be permanent.

You will get used to it in time however. I have never been happy with mine, I think some people have a bite that is easy to fit and looks fine but if you have malocclusion of any kind it is harder.

good luck,
judi

thanks so much. i called the dentist this morning and have an appt for tomorrow at 12. i asked my neighbor to see if she saw the crookedness when i had my teeth in. she said if i hadn't told her to look she wouldn't have noticed but she did see my lower lip a little off to the left.
