Tongue ~ Dental Disasters ~

I have had alot of trouble with my teeth over my lifetime. I am sure it all stems from poor dental pratices when I was growing up. I didn't even own a toothbrush until I was about 10 years old. Both my parents lost all their teeth by the time they were 40 and I lost half of my teeth by the time I was 20. Luckily it was all my back teeth but as time went on slowly I started losing the ones involed with your smile. I have dental appliances now to replace the lost teeth but thinking back NOW I can blame many of the teeth I lost later on poor dentistry.

I caught Herpes from a dentist who didn't wash his hands between patients.

When I wanted big fillings instead of caps, I was talked into caps because the dentist would get paid a lot more. All the caps I had are gone. All the roots rotted. That happens when they open up the area around the gumline to put the caps on. That is the beginning of the end right there. The OTHER teeth that JUST have large fillings are still there.

Don't even get me started on root canals. I had ONE and that was enough. Talk about TORTURE!!!

I Hate Dentists!!

Well, all but one. He is wonderful. I go to him when I need an extraction. I have never ONCE felt a thing with him.

When I see the difference between dentists who aren't good at what they do and dentists who are kind and compassionate it's a shame these dentists have a license to practice.

My regular dentist now is an old Navy dentist and he too is wonderful. Gives me More than enough novacaine and he is and Artist.
