Default Root canal extraction

Hi Bryanna..I recently had 3 root canals removed after trying the calcium hydroxide method of detoxifying them (it did'nt work) The holistic dentist cleaned out the periodontal ligament and used an ultrasonic dental drill and ozone water to clean out the sockets. the dentist assured me this was far better than drilling out 1mm of bone. my question is are you familiar with these methods as i want to make sure this has been done well and there are no problems later on when i have zirconia implants.many thanks I find your posts very informative...Bill

Hi Bill,

Thank you for the kinds words

So long as the dentist was thorough in the removal of the teeth as well as the debridement of the ligament and bone that is exactly what you can hope for.

Calcium hydroxide cannot detox an infected tooth. Irrelevant of what is used or done to an infected tooth, the many hundreds of microscopic dentin tubules cannot be accessed. Therefore, these canals and tooth remain infected.

Were these teeth all in the same area of your mouth?

Did you have bone grafting done?

Bryanna
