Default Post wisdom tooth extraction troubles

Hi, I'm looking for some advice regarding some complications I seem to be having after wisdom teeth removal over a year ago now.

To be brief, I got an infection on the left upper side and then had all wisdom teeth removed as a response. The infection was clear on the Xray and travelled right up my cheek to my ear. Very shortly after I also had an left upper rear molar removed due to some pain, and it turned out to be a deformed tooth with a spur that was digging into my gum I suppose. So it may be possible the initial infection wasn't even caused by the wisdom teeth, who knows. They did feel "off" though.

Many months later a lymph node swelled in my neck, but on the right side not the left. I was prescribed Clindamycin by a doctor and the swelling disappeared.

Fast forward to now, over a year since the extractions and over six months since the Clindamycin. Something doesn't feel right on the left side this time. I've felt it in the jaw and also the ear. So I'm concerned that once again.... some infection is stirring in there

Do these long time lapses sound plausible for this? A year since the extractions seems like a long time to develop more issues. Not much of it makes sense, because the lymph node swelling on the right side wasn't accompanied by any pain. It just blew up. And right now it's the left side again feeling uncomfortable.... no serious pain though.

I was hoping extraction meant an end to the troubles. But apparently that's not the case. Assuming another infection is present, what do you think the next step will be.... another bout of Clindamycin or procedures I don't even want to consider?

thanks
