Confused Wisdom teeth?

So after searching all over the internet and finding no one experiencing what I am, I decided to find a place to seek info. I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out 9 days ago, they were all surgically removed and impacted. Everything seems to be doing pretty good. No pain in general, no infection, ect. I am however still too nervous to eat solid food.

Anyway, all over the internet I read how people end up with gaping holes in their mouths where the extraction was taken place and how they have to irrigate them with a syringe to get the food out. Basically, I don't see any holes in my lower surgical sites whatsoever. I've shined lights, shown other people, ect. I'm really confused by this. I still do salt water rinses and I use the irrigating syringe in the general area just in case but as far as having holes to clean out, I see nothing. It's left me very confused. When I pull my cheek back to check the buccal part of my gums, one side seems a little red but I still see nothing, and the other side has a painless white-mass that i'm assuming in either a scab or the blood clot.

So I guess my general question is; should I/ is it possible to not have holes in my mouth or didn't something funky happen to me and i'm just healing weird? My main worry is somehow not know what to look for and not cleaning it correctly. I'm more confused than concerned and i'd really like some closure on that confusion.
