Is there a very special way I should be aware of when getting the RCT teeth out? How do they take them out and not expose me to any of it? Are you always suppose to take meds before and after? Is it harmful to get them out ? What needs to be done after? Do you need to get a partial put in right after they take them out? Or you can wait? Not that I want to walk around with 2 missing teeth.

Sorry about that. Is there a way to do private message with Brianna. I spoke to that one you suggested they don't do extractions. They said to go to a oral surgeon. What are the steps of the extraction what do I need to know what needs to be done? What is the process after for partials. Do they do the impressions with the RCT tooth still in or when the gums are healed.

Did you read my last reply to you? If not, then please go back to the where you did your original post and look through them to find it.

I will outline the steps to try and make it easier for you.

1) Choose a general dentist, preferably holistic, and schedule a full examination and consultation appointment. The reason for the full examination is because this will be the dentist who you will be discussing your replacement options with and the health of the rest of your teeth will help determine what those options will be.

2) Have ALL of your xrays sent to this dentist so he/she will have your radio-graphic history.

3) This new dentist will discuss everything with you and help you understand your options and course of treatment.

4) This new dentist will refer you to an oral surgeon for a consultation about removing those two teeth. If you go directly to the oral surgeon without a plan to replace those teeth you may be walking around without teeth for months. So that is not a good idea to do.

I do not recommend that you try to communicate with a new dentist via email. You need to go in person and be examined.

THE ONLY THING YOU NEED TO TELL THE ORAL SURGEON IS THAT YOU WANT HIM TO BE SURE TO REMOVE THE PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT AND ALL NECROTIC TISSUE AND BONE AFTER HE REMOVES THE TEETH.

HE MAY TALK TO YOU ABOUT PUTTING IN BONE GRAFT MATERIAL INTO THE SOCKETS. GENERALLY IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO DO THE BONE GRAFTING AS LONG AS HE FEELS THAT AFTER THE EXTRACTION OF THE TEETH AND THE SURGICAL SCRAPING THE BONE IS HEALTHY ENOUGH TO RECEIVE THE GRAFT. THE BONE GRAFT WILL ENCOURAGE THE GROWTH OF NEW BONE. WHICH IS A GOOD THING. ESPECIALLY IF YOU DECIDE IN SEVERAL MONTHS OR A YEAR FROM NOW THAT YOU WANT TO PUT DENTAL IMPLANTS IN THOSE TWO AREAS.

EACH TOOTH WILL COME OUT IN ONE PIECE. THE SURGICAL SCRAPING OF THE BONE TO REMOVE THE LIGAMENT AND DEAD TISSUE WILL BE SUCTIONED OUT AS IT IS BEING SCRAPED. NO WORRIES ABOUT BEING EXPOSED TO ANYTHING.

IT IS UP TO THE ORAL SURGEON TO DECIDE IF HE THINKS IT'S NECESSARY FOR YOU TO TAKE AN ANTIBIOTIC.

BUT YOU NEED TO FULLY UNDERSTAND WHY YOU WANT THEM REMOVED IN THE FIRST PLACE AND AS YOU STATED, YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE CHRONIC BACTERIA THAT LIVES INSIDE OF THEM AS YOU HAVE LEARNED IT CAN MAKE YOU ILL. YOU ALSO HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOU NEED TO DISCUSS REPLACEMENT OPTIONS WITH A GENERAL DENTIST BEFORE REMOVING THEM.

GENERALLY THE PARTIAL DENTURE THAT IS MADE FOR THIS PURPOSE IS NOT SOMETHING THAT IS GOING TO BE WORN INDEFINITELY. IN SOME CASES IT IS MADE JUST FOR THE HEALING PHASE. YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO THE DENTIST ABOUT HOW THIS WILL BE DONE IN YOUR CASE.

THE PARTIAL DENTURE IS GENERALLY PUT IN RIGHT AWAY. THE DENTURE ACTS LIKE BANDADE OVER THE SURGERY AND HELPS TO PREVENT SOME SWELLING. IT ALSO HELPS TO SHAPE THE CONTOUR OF THE GUM TISSUE FROM BECOMING TOO FLAT. HOWEVER, IN SOME CASES THE PARTIAL CANNOT BE WORN RIGHT AWAY. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION. BUT IT IS IDEAL TO HAVE IT MADE PRIOR TO THE EXTRACTIONS AND PLAN ON WEARING IT RIGHT AFTERWARDS IF ABLE TO. YOU WOULD NEED TO HAVE THE PARTIAL DENTURE ADJUSTED TO FIT PROPERLY DURING THE HEALING PHASE OF THE EXTRACTIONS AS THAT AREA IS GOING TO GO THROUGH A LOT OF ESTHETIC CHANGES.

ONCE THE EXTRACTION SITES HEAL COMPLETELY, THE PARTIAL MAY OR MAY NOT FIT VERY WELL. YOU NEED TO DISCUSS THIS WITH YOUR DENTIST.
