Default anesthesia dentistry

I was wondering if anyone knows how to find a dentist who does anesthesia dentistry that can do it in hospital. I suffer from a few condition one that is full body nerve pain and any other pain or stimuli can put me in hospital for weeks to months. I cant get my insurance to pay for anesthesia dentistry unless its in hospital and with my conditions hospitals are best. My problem is the ones that do it in hospital I find is for major dental work. I just have 8 cavities and need a cleaning bad as I haven't seen a dentist in 11 years because of being sick and I don't want to loose my teeth either or wait until I do need major dentist work. If anyone has any ideas of how to find one or how to get an oral surgeon to just do the simple work would be greatly appreciated.

Hi alaska,

Perhaps you have already gone this route but just in case you haven't....

You could either call hospitals in PA or other nearby states or do a google search of the hospitals and see if they have dentists on staff. There are always oral surgeons on staff but it sounds like you need a restorative dentist. FYI... Oral surgeons basically perform oral surgery and not restorative dentistry. When you get the names of the dentists, call their office and ask if they perform restorative dentistry in the hospital under sedation. If you are only able to get the names of oral surgeons, then call their office and see who they work with that can perform restorative dentistry under sedation in the hospital.

Before any dental procedures, other than an emergency, could be arranged in a hospital setting, you would need to visit the dentist at his office for a complete comprehensive examination, xrays and full review of your medical and dental history.

I hope this information helps..
