Default Diagnostic codes for Biocomaptable testing

Hi

I am getting the Clifford test for bicompatable dental materials.
I am wondering what diagnosis codes people may have used to get insurance reimbursement. I have multiple issues but mainly CFS

Thanks

WA

Hi WA,

Over the years I have known many dental patients who have had a bio-compatibility test done. There are a few different sources for this test but none that I know of are covered by medical or dental insurance. Perhaps a union type medical or dental insurance that offers a set $$ amount per year for whatever the insured has done may reimburse the insured. But conventional type insurance plans, hmo or otherwise, in most cases will not cover this test.

According to Biocamp Labs, the CPT code for their test is 86403. But that is not to be mistaken as a diagnostic code.

Good to hear that you are being conscientious about what dental materials are going to be used for your dentistry! Hope everything works out well for you!
