Default Wisdom Teeth Problem...

I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out on June 5th. Everything went as the doctor said, on one side. My left side gave me no major problems. My right, on the other hand, is starting to give me some concerns. I don't know which site on the right, but over night (if I use the syringe), I wake up with blood tinted saliva that tastes absolutely awful. Last night was the first night I decided to not use the syringe and had no problem. The sites also tingle/throb a bit, but it's not the major pain that is normally associated with dry socket, so I'm trying to rule that one out. Sometimes the teeth near the sites get the same tingling feeling, but it goes away quickly. My mother is telling me to continue washing it out with the syringe and it will heal. At this point, I don't know what to do. And I can't call the office until tomorrow, so I'm sorta out of it for now. Any help or comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi PreciousEcho,

If you have not been back to the oral surgeon for a post op check, then it would be best to schedule that this week as a clinical evaluation is better than an assumption.

The tingling and throbbing you have in the extraction sites can be due to over use of your jaw, too much irrigating or food debris accumulating in the area. The blood in your saliva in the am after you irrigate at night could be normal or could indicate a bacterial issue. So it really is best for the oral surgeon to take a look.
