Hi Mike,

I'm sure Bryanna will know, but in the meantime you could search for Dental Finishing Strips or Dental Abrasive Strips or Interproximal Finishing Strips. I see there are many different brand names.

yellowcouch,

There are several names for the abrasive dental strips as there are a variety of materials, thicknesses and coarseness. Depending on the circumstances, the proper strip needs to be used to avoid damaging the integrity of the natural tooth and the porcelain on the implant crown. If the integrity is jeopardized on the tooth sensitivity and/or decay can develop, if on the porcelain of the crown the porcelain may crack or chip.

It is not wise to attempt to do this yourself. Due to the tight interproximal contact, you could get the strip jammed or end up slicing your gum tissue AND get the strip caught.

Have you seen your dentist about this tight contact yet?

Bryanna
