Hello, I pray that got Bryanna's attention. I am new to posting here but I've been a longtime lurker and I have seen how she has helped so many people, and I will gladly take feedback from anybody else as well.

My story - I had a root canal performed on an infected lower right molar in 2003, and it wasn't until about a decade later that I began to suspect this was the source of many of my health problems...I could go on and on about everything but I'd like to focus on the most concerning issue to me now, which is a matter of life and death to me as I'm suffering from excruciating pain and getting no answers.

Fast forward to October 2015 - I began to suffer from excruciating prostatitis pain that the doctors still cannot figure out. They put me on antibiotics which seemed to help at first, but the pain would come back intermittently even while on the antibiotics (when on the antibiotics, the pain would come and go; when off of them, the pain was there 24/7).

After a while I began to notice a correlation between chewing on the right side of my jaw (where the root canal was), and the onset of prostatitis pain an hour later. So I spent the month of January chewing with the left side of my jaw only (actually pivoting my jaw so that the right side teeth made no contact), and the pain waves were gone! The doctors thought I was absolutely nuts and could not explain what I was experiencing, but it was most definitely not in my head. I would even experiment and occasionally chew normally, only to have an immediate return of the severe prostatitis pain shortly thereafter. I tested this many times beyond statistical significance and am 100% convinced.

So in early February I decided enough was enough and found an oral surgeon who would remove the root canal (although I had to tell him I was mainly experiencing jaw pain - but this was minimal compared to the crippling prostatitis - as the X-rays and ct scans didn't show any glaring infection in the tooth). I had him remove the periodontal ligament as well.

At first, it seemed to work some. After a few weeks to heal the extraction site I began chewing normally again. But then the prostatitis pain began to return with a vengeance, so I was back to my old left-side-chewing routine to minimize the pain bouts. But the problem became so bad that I couldn't even touch the right side of my jaw anymore (including sleeping on my side) without the pain being triggered.

A few days ago, as I was scratching my face adjacent to that extraction area, I noticed puss started oozing from the skin right above the jawbone under the extraction site. I couldn't believe it, had the infection spread deep within the jawbone and now to the dermis? My GP thinks it's just a skin infection, but I've never had one before and it's uncanny how it's right at the jawbone where the infected root canal was extracted. I also can feel with my tongue what feels like a slightly raised small hard lesion/abscess right at the base of the extraction site extending underneath the next tooth in front.

I'm actually heading back to the oral surgeons office in a few minutes to get him to check this out (and fully expecting incredible prostatiti pain after he manipulates everything). I'm praying that he can see that there's a major problem, as thus far allopathic medicine has been unable to vindicate my experience. I will keep you posted as to what he says.

Have you ever heard of anything like this before? If we assume for a moment that I am correct - that there is some time of low grade infection that now leaches out into my bloodstream with every bite/touch and has a particular affinity for my prostate - what is my prognosis, and will I ever find a solution to this? I can't go on taking antibiotics forever (amoxicillin and azythrimycin are now no longer effective as resistance has built to prolonged usage of these, I'm currently on trimethoprim), and even with the antibiotics the pain is nearly unbearable. I am literally ready to have my entire lower right jawbone removed if I can find an oral surgeon who will do it, as I cannot go on like this much longer. Thank you so much for your feedback.
