Frown Post Extraction - what are my options?

Hi,

I've just had an extraction of an infected root canaled tooth (lower molar, not sure which # but it's the 2nd one back, also consider I've had 4 molars taken out already because braces).

I decided not to try and save the tooth after much research (and also advised by dental consultant), however now that I'm at this point I'm not sure what the best options are from here.

I am considering an implant, since I've read that this is the only method to keep the integrity of the jaw bone, but due to the infection I have already lost a considerable amount of bone there, I am worried that unless I get an implant, the bone loss will affect my other teeth and at a young age (22) I don't want to be losing any more teeth!

If there is anyone who can help me with my issue then I will be very grateful to hear your experiences or advice, thanks.
