Default Yay!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!

Angels,

YAY!! This is the BEST news EVER!! Thank you for stepping back and changing direction. This is exactly what you needed to do!!!

Because of the changes you have made and the stand that you have taken ... the IDS, ENT and other oral surgeon are going to hop on board. That is exactly what needs to happen. Thank God your father in law stepped in with his professional opinion and I am so glad that he is confirming everything that I have said here!!!!!

I am so happy that you have taken control of this .... now just stay on this course!!!

I have to cancel my appointment to have the implant taken out in the morning. So I am NOT going back to oral surgeon #1. The ENT is pretty sure the implant is in my sinus also and apparently the radiologist who did the report is the the best in town. The ENT says there is compelling evidence of a bone infection. I really want to go to oral surgeon #2 because he is so highly recommended by the ENT. He does not seem to be running an oral surgery "mill". I will keep you updated.

Angels,

I will pm you my email address. You can email me the narrative. Keep in mind that I am not a dentist or a doctor so I won't be of any use to you in a legal battle. However, I am open to offering you professional insight that you can use to help inform yourself better.

But, also I picked up my MRI and have the narrative part and the CD. Is there anyway I can send at least the narrative part to you?

Cleo,

Please clarify why she should have 3 or 4 "back up" surgeons and how she is suppose to go about doing that when she is in a crisis situation?

Her case is very different than yours and she needs attention asap. Her case requires a competent oral surgeon (the second one happens to also be an MD and acknowledges the severity of the infection), an ENT doctor (who also acknowledges the severity) and an Infection Disease Specialist. I think that sounds like a pretty good plan to me!

I am pretty much back to square one, the second oral surgeon is now out of town until mid September. The infectious disease doctors he gave me only see patients one half day a week and one of them is out of town until next week. He has given me the name of two more and I will be calling them this morning. I have also asked if he could recommend another oral surgeon. Meanwhile, I am feeling so sick, I can barely function.

Angels,

You are not back to square one as that was with the original surgeon. You have fortunately moved on from him.

Keep moving forward, don't cave in now. Call the other two ID doctors asap, let the receptionist know you are in an urgent situation with a jaw bone infection. Get the other referral of another OS from the ENT OR call the referral that the second OS office gave to you (you told me in a pm that he gave you one while he was on vacation) and follow through with making an appointment.

I have a question ... are you only staying within your insurance network with these dentists and doctors?

I will go read your PM now.

I'm talking about other expert opinions who agree on what excactly to do about the situation. OS 2 saw the xray last week and failed to treat immediately. It's a blessing he/she bailed out of town......... It forces you to move on for a reason!

Hi Cleo,
No, OS 2 didn't see the xray last week. He saw a ct about 2 months ago that didn't show anything. It was the MRI that I had last Sunday that showed Osteomyelitis. I have an appointment with an Infectious disease person and I am hoping to go to a new oral surgeon this week. Wish me luck! I will keep everyone posted.
