Default Doing a root canal with myasthenia gravis

I am having problems with a molar in the back of my mouth. My dentist prescribed amoxicillin, which helped. The pain reduced, but did not resolve entirely. A couple of days after I finished the amoxicillin, the pain has returned. I'm going back to see the dentist today. I suspect he will say that I should have a root canal.

I'm concerned about doing this procedure. I have myasthenia gravis. I have dysphagia (trouble swallowing), and I also have trouble breathing, especially when reclining. Is there anything that the endodontist can do to help make this sort of procedure go better for somebody with my health problems?

Thank you,
Erin
