Oh great suggestions, I will pop out to health shop tomorrow.
haven't been drinking any black tea, (have 2 sugars, eek) since extraction, only herbal teas, licorice & peppermint and echinachea and cranberry. Will cut out cheese. Will stop my milkshakes No processed (though normally do dabble) Always try to get organic veg and fruit but not always available Need to up my water intake, doing about a 1 litre, will increase to 2 as my urine is pretty dark. Dont take anything for my allergies as I seem to react to many tablets. I tried an American product called Allercertin that gave me some relief but the major headaches that came with it was not worth the swap. The dentist who did extraction gives me Traumeel (German product) after extraction. I think it has anti-inflammatory properties. I am taking that 3 times a day I bought some fresh thyme the other day, I will make some tea with it. was worried about that though because somewhere said its quite potent. All the good health shops are closing down that I usually go to. The other day I went to a shop near the dentist to get my usual stock up of pure cranberry juice 100% organic, Udo's choice Ultimate oil blend organic omega 3,6,9's. Got Udo's choice super 8 just in case I will need antibiotics. Dont get me wrong I am no super healthy eater all the time, (I love my occasional macdonalds, pizza, chocolate and crisps). Maybe its time to say goodbye to them and get in a really healthy routine. Have reaped the rewards in the past with eating strictly healthy diet. And I had noticed good improvement in my health in the past with doing regular exercise, (walking doing my leaflets for work and bike riding.) But then its so easy to slip and go into the bad habits again. Have been thinking of moving as where we have been for the last 4 years is close to sewage plants and water treatment plants so we get constant nasty smells. This side of London is known to be industrially dirty. All this no good for me and my MCS. Would love the country but need to be long way from farms due to the pesticide spraying and the drift it can give. (pesticides are my no.1 enemy). Only area I think would be a safe zone would be mid Wales in the valleys. at least 3 - 4 miles from any farms. Will crack on with the instructions ma'am, my stuffiness and cheek pain is worse today, I dont see any improvement so will try to get out of my slightly depressed state and apply some positivity. My close friend says he admires me how I crack on with all my health problems, though it does take it toll. Quote:

Its been 1 week now since I had seen the OS. sinus communication does seem to be improving, though I ended up doing things to aggravate it like shouting at my cat when he dug his claws in my leg, or blowing a bug off my arm in the garden and then thinking, why the heck did I do that. Then the cheek pain intensifies. Don't have any water coming into nose anymore.
Got 1 week left before going back to the OS. Have been doing some research on the procedure he suggested to fix the communication, Plasma Rich Growth factors. It does seem much more less intrusive than the buccal technique. I am a wee bit hesitant on the PRGF though due to additives to my blood to form the gel. Worried if I will react to it due to my MCS. Leaning towards the buccal op but it looks gruesome. Wish I never watched it on youtube now. |
Went back to the OS today. He said the gum is trying to close and to allow another 4 weeks to see if gum closes over itself. A little roughness on one side of the closing gum and he would like that to heal a little more as it may hinder the stitches if I did the surgery now. If it is still open in 4 weeks then go ahead with the surgical closure with PRGF.
I am eating much better now and using more anti-inflammatory foods like spinach, red peppers and broccoli. Bought some good quality Vitamin C powder and Coconut oil. Waiting on the Arnica and quercetin. Using Manuka honey in my herbal teas and adding thyme and ginger Going to delve into cooking some snacks with live yogurt and 85% cocoa chocolate adding things like cinnamon, vanilla extract and nuts. Looks like I may be saying goodbye to my belly:D |
1 month now since extraction and communication. Hard work, phew. Have learnt that you need to talk softly and avoid pronouncing words that start with B,F,M,P and few others and try to pronounce those words with your lips open. Even going out shopping and out and about aggravates the healing.
I am waking in the morning with improvement though for last few days but after eating you start noticing the fluctuation of communication. Still have a whitish discharge from the area that sits on the gum. The other day it wasn't there and I didn't notice any fluctuation and I was so happy, then I washed the car and it was back. Only supplement my body reacts to is the quercetin so I have stopped that for a while. It is a solgar quercetin complex so it may be the additional properties that it has. I may in a few days open a capsule up and just start with a quarter of it and see how I go. Well that's the weekly update folks. Will post next week. P.S. Seen a nice place in Wales. Please heal mister sinus communication so I can call the estate agent and they can understand me ! |
5 weeks now. I went to OS few days ago as I was getting a sharp needle pain occasionally for a few days and had milky white discharge for about a week or so. No foul smell or anything so the discharge wasn't bothering me until needle pain came so thought I would let him check it out.
He said no infection and not to worry about the discharge. The needle pain he said was the sinus membrane repairing itself. My next appointment is in a week and if it hasn't closed them will go ahead with P.R.G.F. Gum wasn't as red as it was last time and he said there is granulation tissue, though there was an indentation in the gum. He put my mind at rest so that was great as I am a naturally born worrier. I have noticed it is healing but not closed yet. The other day I thought it was closed but then when I did my daily inner mouth photo (yeah I know, a bit geeky and obsessed) there was a bit of food stuck in there blocking the hole. Out with the salt water gentle rinse. Hope it heals by next week, that would be  |
6 Week appointment and OS has given another 4 weeks as it seems to be closing itself and all looks good so far. Time seems to be going so slowly.

Peroxyl made by Colgate works wonders for mouth sores or issues from dental procedures. I have used Peroxyl for years since I have had so many crowns/caps/bridges done in the past/present. Also use a few times a week to keep gums healthy. Gerry |
Hi David, I'm so happy for you. I know it is very difficult and it takes forever but it seems that you found a truly great OS who is not in a hurry to operate - the best for you is for it to heal on its on and it will! 2 months and it will be history I hope! Hugs, Noemi

Thanks Noemi, you, Bryanna and my O.S. have really helped me to be a lot less stressed about this problem. Its so easy to read all the negative stories on the internet and worry yourself sick.
For a few days now I haven't noticed any air bubbles coming out of hole when I take my pictures. O.S. Told me to do salt water rinses as hot as possible. Yeah he is really cool guy, I want to give him one of my business cards and tell him if he ever leaves the practice to tell me where he is going. |
