Default dental bone graft done incorrectly?

i had a dental bone graft done three days ago. The dentist added bone to the missing tooth area and above the adjacent teeth;although it's too early to know the final result, the bone line of the adjacent teeth are no longer even my other teeth. Also, one of the adjacent teeth has a temporary crown and now the bone is growing over the root. Did the dentist commit an error here? How bad is this? What are my chances of remedying this?
