Default Depotphorese?

Does anyone know what exactly is it?
Any better regarding long term health-effects than the standard RC procedure? Does it eliminate all or much more bacteria?
If so, why is it not used?
I read something that it doesn't show on x-rays somehow so it is not being used as it can not be 'proven' it's been done?
Also my dentist mentioned some new RC procedure being done on France maybe involving pushing steam in for cleaning and then pushing the root filling material in? Anyone knows about this one?
Not that I want any form of RC done just really curious about this one. Thank you
