Default Sinus Communication

Quick question on sinus communication healing time. Had upper wisdom tooth extracted 8 months ago. Opened up a hole to sinus. Been struggling with sinus infection ever since. Finally looks like sinus infection is gone. Small hole probably 1 -2 mm. Question: Now that sinus infection is gone, is there a possibility that the hole can close by itself, even though it's been about 8 months since tooth extraction?

Thanks in advance for input
