Thank you so much for replying!!! Yes, the pain is really bad and its been there ever since I had a root canal procedure, for about 4 months now(. I am considering a surgery on removing the left material, but just wanted to seek other people opinion since I can't really get any helpful information from doctors because no one can really tell what is going on and where the burning sencation can come from. But thank you so much for taking time to reply!! I hope you feel better too!!❤

I don't think much is really known about this to tell you the truth. There is such a huge spectrum of root canal failures based on who did the root canal, how they did it, materials used and if there were files left or an overfill issue. From what I read slight overfill the body can adjust or you can go in from the top of the root and remove the material to remove the pain. But it varies from procedures done by a dentist (who might be less experienced in the procedure) vs and Endo who is trained specifically for root canals.

My theory is at times the body rejects the tooth just because it is dead now but that's just my thoughts. I am very sorry your in pain we are in the same time line of having our teeth worked on. It's terrible. I am considering getting on an antidepressant to see if it helps the pain. Pulling is also an option I am considering and may end up doing that if I don't get an answer. I might seek a ENT or facial pain specialist at this point. Wishing you nothing but the best.

I have a conversation gong with another person who also had something similiar to us. We are both in the change of life and wondering if hormones are also at play? Just a thought not sure if your in that age bracket.

I am 28 years old, never had any health problems before this, so I know for sure it all strarted because of this procedure. I just need to figure out what this can be. I will do an allergy test to the materials that been used during the procedure. Then, probably a surgery to remove left material, and if nothing changes will go see a neurologist. I dont think I have any other options besides these.

I hope you get answers to your situation as well! ❤Its horrible to be in constant pain and dont get any answers on what can be done to improve it.

Default I hope you see this

Hi Hanna, you haven't logged on since 2020 but I really hope you see this. What you described is exactly what I am experiencing after my root canal. Did you find any relief. Its been over two months for me.

Hannah,

I would talk to a neurologist about Trigeminal Neuralgia! I have TN2, and this TN often presents after dental work. Mine for example, was triggered after a root canal. I have pain in that tooth. It's a long story. But let me know if you have any questions.

Liz
