I happen to be both hypothyroid and needful of Vit D.
My winter SAD is not manifesting this winter with 5000 IU of D3.
I haven't used my light visor once yet!

This is a connection I haven't heard yet. I will pass it on. Also, you are taking a larger dose of Vit. D. than I have seen recommended. I presume you got both from the link you provided us. I will pass this along to others.

Thank you:wink:

5000IU daily puts one at about 50ng... the lower end of the normal range. I don't take D in the summer when I am outside.
The new upper limit has been suggested now to be 10,000IU daily. This level was arrived at by studies showing daily 10,000 did not cause problems. I'd get tested if you suspect low D levels. You'll be interested to know just about every person who comes here, and has been tested has tested low or very low.
Dosing is based on this ratio... 10ng =1000IU
Use of D2 by doctors is a poor intervention. D3 is preferable.
