Well its almost Christmas, and there sure wont be alot under the tree this year. What a sad state of affairs. I am now taking more meds for depression, and more morphine for my back pain. With no relief, now if I just had some pills to erease life. We are waiting for the Judges decision on disibility, but with the judge and the report from the doctor they sent me to, I have little or no hope of being approved....

What can we do to help? Would you like to talk about it? It certainly sounds like you're experiencing a great deal of pain.

bretd, I agree with Whitney, please don't shut yourself off. We truly care about what you are going thru. I know (from personal experience) how much it helps to talk things out. I know it won't 'fix' the situation you're in, but it's just nice to know you aren't alone.
The stress of awaiting a decision on your disability must be absolutely mind-boggling. I have'nt filed for it yet, but I will be in a few months.

You probably already know this, but there is a forum here specifically for SSD and you'll get great support there as far as pending disability goes.
Is this the first time you've filed? I've heard that in more cases than not, it gets denied the first time around. But PLEASE don't give up there!
I can't help but think they do that just to weed out the people who DO give up right away so they will have less claims to go thru. (Just my stupid opinion tho )

As far as the depression and the pain, I know what a circle of madness it is. One feeds off of the other. Christmas is overwith, we can put that behind us and look toward the future.

wow! that was me.really.the same exact thing.i couldnt see any way out.and think whats its like when your alone!!..yes that was me.all by myself in my home that i was about to loose.all i had was my faith and this site here.but day after day was all the same.i couldnt tell one from the other.i was loosing space and time...i was just here....but my faith and also the folks here helped "tenfolds".it was lucky for me that the judge believed me.and "kind of"in a way help me get my doctor off his "dead rump" TO DO HIS JOB!!! through all this i made some good friends here.like "ginnie ,bretd,just to name a few

I just thought of something else. I had everyone I know, including the pastor at church write a letter for me. My Aunt, all my friends who knew me, vouched for what happened to me. I think there were 10 letters like that included at the hearing. ginnie
