Thumbs Down I Feel Like a Fish That is Running low on H20

I have finally got medicated after a year of hell so I thought....I feel like I get up and get knocked back down from stress and depression.I said Hope, Faith, and Strength were going to be my best friends....reality is I am failing!I have a child and the pain and suffering has such affect on my childs mental stability as well....I was told by my 13yr old that "Being dead is better then suffering"! My child refuses to go to school since last week!I can't get her into psychiatrist till a few weeks....If I have to homeschool it is not going to work!I just started my rehabilitation for TBI/PCS....I use to cry baby tears now I cry a tsunami now! I am so lost for words I feel like my child was my strength to keep me here and fighting to get better...I need help!I can't go to inpatient because what about my child? This is more then a cry for help.

You say you are now medicated? I hope it's for depression. Did you know that it takes awhile for the medication to work? I wish i knew what you were on, because some medications can take up to 6 weeks to work! Others take perhaps a week or two.

I take Cymbalta and within a week I was feeling better. I'm on the maximum dose of 120mg per day. I take 60mg twice a day. It has really helped me alot. I have major depressive disorder (clinical depression) and I'll be on medication the rest of my life. I've been on medication for probably 30 years already.

I hope and pray that your meds start working soon. In the meantime, try to stay busy. Do anything that will take your mind off of things. Listen to uplifting music. And post here -- we'll be here to help you. God bless and please take care of YOU. Hugs, Lee
