Default Zoloft and effects

I take 100mg of Zoloft every morning, but for the past 3-4 days I ran out. I'm suppose to get a new prescription tomorrow.

My question is I've noticed since stopping it 3-4 days ago that I've become really depressed - like more than normal. Could the cause of this being coming off of it so quickly?

I feel like i'm not worth anything, like I try to wrap my head around something and I just keep getting negative responses.

Hi skywalker,

It is never a good idea to go off antidepressants, as well as many other medications, cold turkey. Many times there are some disturbing or serious withdrawal side effects.

Yes.

Information about withdrawal side effects of Zoloft:

All you would need to do is call the pharmacy and request a refill. If your medication does not list refills or you are out of refills the pharmacy will contact your prescribing physician to request a refill. If there is a problem the pharmacy will let you know.

Coming off cold turkey of any SSRI sucks. Pardon my french. I have done it many times in the past, and I hear it isn't safe either. I have been on mine for a long time and just missed one day, and felt the effects.

I was on Zoloft for years and when I ran out for a few days I got really depressed, hated it!

Get back on it and hopefully it'll kick in very soon, good luck!
