Default Has anyone used alcohol

Has anyone used alcohol to ease your pain? I have noticed if I have a few beers that my mood improves dramatically and my sister in law said the same thing. She has been on medication for depression and anxiety and with everything she has been on, she said she still feels her best when she has a few beers. I wonder why that is?

Default Alcohol

Dear Sad;

How do you feel when the alcohol wears off? Or, do you go to bed after having a few beers? If that is the case, how do you sleep?

Alcohol is a depressant and should be used with caution when you feel down & out. What can happen is that after a few beers your good mood starts to change and you get sad or angry. If that has happened, please be very careful and stop drinking if you start to feel angry or out of control.

Hi Nancy-H Thanks for replying. Well initially I feel awesome after having the beers but then like you are asking, it brings me way down again and feeling all those emotions. I thought it was just the alcohol wearing off. I will be careful. I want to use it until I can get up my nerve to go and see my doctor. Thanks
