Default PD and Diabetes

Hi
I’ve had PD for approx 15 years and developed Diabetes 4 years ago. I find that my medical health care team struggle to collate information for my treatment. My Neurologist is based in London and my Diabetic clinic is 50 miles away in a regional hospital.

They always refer me to their opposite number when I ask for advice which has bearings on both conditions. I’m convinced that the timings of the separate medications need reviewing. I’ve tried tweaking dosages and timings to little effect.

Some symptoms can be attached to either disease. It’s very frustrating when you can’t pinpoint the culprit to make adjustments. I have my blood sugars under fairly good control but I’m worried that my diet for Diabetes may in some way be having a detrimental effect on my PD medication.

I would be interested to hear if any people in my position have any helpful advice?
