I love Chinese food but how can I work that into my diet. We eat out every night of the week, I know, don't ask. So I can't be good a do a nice stir fry. My favorite is orange chicken with chicken fried rice with crab rangoon. Just typing I'm sure made my blood sugar go up!

Some Chinese places offer brown rice. Ask and see. Brown rice
does not impact the blood sugar as fast as white rice. I don't eat much of the rice at all otherwise. I have a little bit. Also MooShoo entries have lower carbs. It is carbs in moderation. Not large servings. You can also get a side order of just veggies, and that can take the place of most of the rice. Fried choices, with breading on them, introduces alot of carbs (and also more fat). I typically have seafood that is not fried. Shrimp with snow peas is one of my favorites. When cooking at home, try Barilla Plus pasta. It has added protein so you can be satisfied with less. This helps cut down on carbs too.

Yes, Dreamland is an alternative. But it made me very loose, and I had to stop using it. (it is also expensive compared to Barilla Plus). Perhaps some people won't be affected by this side effect and for them, it might work.

Our favorite place is at the mall and only offers some chicken and a beef product. And I have tried the steamed veggies and I just can't take it. And they only have the regular rice. Are the noodles any better? They also off the spring rolls and egg rolls along with the cab rangoon. I think all of that would be way off my imit. We try to avoid buffets since my husband has no since of stopping. I always start out with a salad, fruit, water and then wait a bit before going to the entrees. He takes several plates and goes straight there and then the deserts. And the places that aren't buffet cost to much.
