I recently started a low dose of metformin to help the insulin resistance.

Hey Shelley!!! I read the responses to your post and I gotta say...anyone...professional or friend/family that know says that there is no borderline. It is the poops! Oh..that reminds me...was it not you, Shelley that mentioned making sure you have a washroom close by when on Metformin That happened to me as well for a while but it has eased up considerably after a while It hope that you are able to control your diabetes with diet and minimal meds!! Take Care Shelley!!

I really do need to change my ways and try to reverse atleast some of this.

So I started on the metformin how come the prescription did not come with instructions to know where every bathrrom is. I am supposed ot up the amount each week until I am up to four pills a day. Guess four pills a day is not borderline.

Great idea on the nutritionist. I think I will look into that. I also bought some supplements like Cinnamon and something with chromium in it.

Barb I am so glad you have it controlled and Carolyn happy to know your AC1 levels are dropping.

My last AC1 was 5.4. Thats still good right?

Carolyn I am sorry no one responded to your pump question

Hope to see you in this forum more often.
Oh Shelley....5.4 is wonderful!!! Mine was 8.7 last time...bad for me...my own fault too...I need to take this all much more seriously and get my #'s down!!

Was it Metformin that you said you were taking, Shelley? What kind of reaction are you experiencing?
