That is the pits!! Were the pills helping you control your sugar before you had to go off them? The only side effects I had on the was a really gassy belly with alot of running to the washroom! That has eased off almost 100% now.

Gee, I guess I'm lucky to be on insulin instead of oral drugs! The side effects don't sound very pleasant at all!!! I would hate to have the bowel issues, since I already have issues with urgency because of my MS. It would be the pits to have a BAM accident It's bad enough already dealing with the piddle issues! You poor things!

Hi Dorrie!

I'm doing great, thanks! I don't know why everyone is so afraid of insulin. It's really easier in many respects, because it's most like your own bodies insulin and has no bad side effects like the oral stuff. When your injecting, the needles are so small (1/4" and as thin as a hair) that you don't even feel the needle go in. The hard part is if you have to inject a lot, like I was before getting my pump. A heavy injection schedule restricts spontaniety in your life because you have to be on a schedule with eating and injections. Unlike myself, most diabetics only have to inject once or twice a day, mornings and evenings. That's a breeze, really!

Hi guys,

I am doing well and back on the metformin. Not a side effect from the meds but rather an infected tooth was causing all that. But since I had a root canal it had no pain.

Although I ate bade this week so I am just going to get back on it starting tomorrow or even tonight. Just had a sugar fee popsicle.

I really like sugar free jell-o too! It is so sweet it really helps me when I am craving. I should kep it in the fridge more often. Maybe I need to prepare more for myself and have more things to choose from for snacks! I am glad that you are feeling better!! I went off my glyberide and have just been on my metformin for the last few days....that couple days of almost no carbs really messed with my sugars...I was afraid that my sugar would drop so low that I wouldn't wake up. It is leveling off now, finally!

Hi Dorrie, I am fine. Just taking it easy. Baked today and went to anniverary party. There was food everywhere. I sampled some O've course. I have gianed 2 pounds back. It is two steps forward and two back.Tomorrow won't help either. Going to friends house.
Hope you are okay! Have a nice Easter. My sugar is doing fine.
Hugs,
Billie
