Question Weight Loss

.........whats that! I only seem to know about weight gain and I am really good at it!!! Today I am attempting to stick to high protein...and .low low carbs. I am trying to kickstart some weight loss....the weather is gettin a bit better and I can take the baby out for lovely walks every day. I know me though....a few pounds off will make me want to take it further and walk........it is just getting off the carbs. The cravings are terrible!!

I'm with you Dorrie...I have to do something because of my health is crumbling. I have very severe back problems and the weight does not help. As for exercise we still have to much snow but I'm going to start riding my bike...I can do that without pain...good luck on getting of carbs my greatest challenge!!

Dorrie, Carbs are my downfall too. If I can get through a few days cutting back on carbs, I can stick to it. Then something happens and I'm back on carbs. So starting right now I will cut back on carbs right along with you!

Hi Karousel...Hi Tamiloo!!! Well....it did not work! By the end of 1 day with no carbs I felt so sick....the Atkins people call it the induction flu! The next day I felt the same and my sugars were crazy so I had to eat some carbs...and felt much better! I posted in the weight loss forum tonight....I am feeling really bad about myself today and actually avoided staying at my AA meeting tonight. I have not been foe a while and have gained so much weight and got feeling quite anxious thinking about going in, "taking my coat off" and people seeing me......they DEFINITELY would notice.....I left before they had a vhance to see me with my coat off. I am bummed....I feel so uncomfortble!! Anyone have any info on weight watchers? I cannot afford to go! Fancylady has been taking cimmamon....I am waiting to hear back from her about how to use it but I think I am going to give it a shot!! I gots nuttin to lose but "weight!" How are you guys doing....I have not been here in a few days...fill me in...I hope you guys have some good news!!!

Hi Dorrie I just posted in weight loss on your thread. You need carbs. Your brain needs carbs or it will get foggy but it has to be good carbs. Fruit, veggies. longer lasting carbs.

I once lost 30 lbs fllowing an atkins like diet but I was lucky I had the luxury of doing a meal service out here in LA. They would prepare the meals and leave in a cooler at my door each morning. It was sensible food but always followed atwo rules...smaller portions and 40% protein/ 30% fat (goodfat) and 30% carbs like veggies and fruit.

I can pul some of the menus for each day and let you know what the combos were.

For the cinnamon the bottle says to take two capsules one with each of your heaviest two meals. so two a day. My brand is called Cinnaforce. But I think people can get it at the walmart. DOnt use the spice kind from the bakng isle apparently it has impurities unlike the supplement kind.

My metformin is also helping.

We can do this ladies!!!!! Lets try together.

Hi Shelley! Glad you let me know about the cimmamon....I would have bought the stuff from the spice aisle!!! I know that we can do this but man I need to try alot harder....I cannot do the no carb thing anymore...for a couple days now I feel like my body craves them more than ever...I do not have cravings that bad when I eat the way I always do. I was saying somewhere in the forums that I am thinking about weight watchers type of thing...I cannot affore it so I will try to search out some info.....it seems more balanced!

Chocolate is too....when I am out at the grocery store!! I shop alot!!!!!!!! I guess chips and dip need to be in there as well! I get bored at night...and then I munch!
