Crazy Sometimes I Have My Dah Moments!!

Once again I decided that I could control my diabetes without pills and stopped taking them.....I was fine for a couple days...had to work and keeping the #s down a bit but I was doing OK.....untill yesterday. I woke up feeling wonky....and hot....and just crappy.
Turns out my sugars went for the soar upward. I immediately went back on the pills. Of course that pulls it down fast and furious so I felt like crap with low sugars. The pills also give me a really gassy, bloated belly so I had that added discomfort! Today was the same to I took the full dose and then managed to keep them at really good levels all day. Today was the kind of day that every day needs to be like for me....I just get sick of dealing with the ups and downs and the feeling that they give me
Sure hope everyone else is behaving!!

Hi DOrrie,

Boy that sure is frustrating not to be able to have an even level.

And boy do I understand those gastro problems, especially when I take the meds.

Mrs D told me to take a 1/2 immodium a little wihile before taking the med to see if it helps.

P.S. How is that adorable grandbaby doing?

Hi Shelley! Saff is doing wonderful! After all the cold and flus....she is finally healthy....but I do see another molar going to break thru any time now so I am fastening my seat belt....could be a bumpy ride!!! Actually she is pretty good when it comes to teething, or being sick...she has such a good gentle nature about her that you hardly notice that she is in any kind of discomfort at all!
She is walking very well now and tries to go a little faster that what her little legs will do at times so she has had a couple minor bonks along the way.
At the toughest moments I do not regret having her live with us....she is a joy....she makes my heart so happy!! I just love her so much!!!
I could go on forever!! How about you Shelley...how are yo doing?

Default Diabetes, Upset Stomach and Diahrrea

Dorrie,
What a cutie! I have a grandchild on the way due in August and my niece is due the same month 2 weeks apart (her 1st child). I have named the baby scoot-scoot because he? won't be still like my son his dad!

Please don't ever skip pills for Diabetes! You will end up on Insulin that much quicker! Insulin is worse than pills. Diabetes is a sneaky disease. You don't want a limb cut off.

Ginger ale is good for upset stomachs and so is cottage cheese. Cottage cheese was the only thing that stopped 9 months of nausea and vomitting! I hated it, but learned to love it due to my stomach. Walk a lot and exercise as much as possible in a healthy way and you may lower your sugar level like that.
On Insulin Needles with Fibromaylgia and some days are better than others. on the bad day I think of someone I don't like bending over and I imagine myself kicking a field goal. Then I laugh and find something constructive like prayers and meditation to do.
