Default Jacksonian Seizures and Dizziness

I have had Jacksonian seizures since I was young. They come every once in a while and the effects last about a day. Except for this time. I had an episode 2 weeks ago and my head still hurts on one side. And then beginning yesterday I began to get dizzy when I laid down and when I stood up. Should I be worried? Do you think the two are connected?

Hello and welcome to NT!

I too suffer from seizures, so I know how awful they can be. Unfortunately, I'm sorry that I can't offer any insights into your specific situation as mine are of a different type and only started after a head injury a few years ago. However, while I'm a fountain of ignorance, NT is a big community, and I have no doubt a member will be along who will be able to address your question.

The rest of us are here to listen, learn and extend our hands in friendship.

Cheers

Hi,
Often I get dizzy and it's from the epilepsy but there have been a few times when I was dizzy and it was do to low blood pressure and each time I got up from sitting or laying down I would be dizzy for a few seconds and then it would stop another time is when my AED's (seizure med) became toxic and it caused me to become dizzy. You might want to speak with your pharmacist to see if this is a side effect from any meds you take and if it isn't call your neuro and let them know what's going on. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!

Sue
